Salem/Keizer Coalition for Equality began as an advocate organization in 1999. Today, the need for education advocacy is ongoing. We have been asked to represent the education needs of English language learners in committees with the Oregon Education Investment Board, Oregon Department of Education, Early Learning Council, Youth Council, Oregon Community Foundation, Northwest Health Foundation, Education Trust, National Council of La Raza, and many other entities and venues. We take our role seriously and do our best to represent the needs of our children and families, and our community in all our interactions with decision makers, policy makers, administrators of the institutions that serve the public.
